Dr. Jorge Monroy always wanted to start his own practice — one built around a simple idea: bring humanity back to healthcare. After earning his medical degree from Universidad de Caldas in Colombia and working in hospitals there before moving to the United States, he spent 28 years practicing medicine before founding AMG Medical Group in Ocoee, FL in 2023.
AMG Medical Group is a true family business. Dr. Monroy serves as Medical Director and Founder, while his wife Adriana Monroy serves as Office Manager and Founder. Together, they built a practice where every patient is treated with genuine attention, respect, and the kind of unhurried care that's increasingly rare in healthcare today.

Dr. Monroy earned his medical degree from Universidad de Caldas in Colombia, where he gained hospital experience before moving to the United States. With 28 years of medical practice, he is a USCIS-designated civil surgeon and primary care physician who personally treats every patient — from primary care and immigration medical exams to aesthetic treatments. He conducts all visits in English or Spanish.
Adriana Monroy
Office Manager & Founder
Adriana co-founded AMG Medical Group alongside Dr. Monroy and manages the day-to-day operations of the practice. She oversees patient communications, scheduling, and the overall patient experience — ensuring every visit runs smoothly from the first phone call to the final follow-up.
